Scope
This document specifies the calibration method for Auger electron spectrometers with an energy uncertainty of 3 eV for identifying surface elements. Additionally, this document also stipulates a method for determining the calibration cycle. This document is applicable to instruments in direct mode or differential mode with a resolution of less than or equal to 0.5%, a peak modulation amplitude of 2 eV in differential mode, and a spectrometer equipped with an inert gas ion gun or other sample cleaning methods, with a beam energy of 4 keV or higher.
