Scope
This standard specifies the principles for the model numbering of handheld and portable electric tools (hereinafter referred to as "tools") and their components. All model numbers of electric tools and their components shall be applied for by the design units to the electric tool model management units in accordance with the provisions of Appendix A (informative appendix) of this standard on the application method for electric tool models, and shall become effective only after being issued.
