GB/T 21203-2018 Information technology—Office equipment—Method for measuring digital copying productivity

Scope

This standard specifies the measurement methods for the "productivity" of digital copying devices and multifunctional devices in different copying modes. This standard applies to digital copying devices and multifunctional devices with automatic document feeders and single-sheet copying functions. This standard is used for any black-and-white and color digital copying devices and multifunctional devices based on imaging technology, allowing for the comparison of copying speeds under various available copying modes (single-sided, double-sided, media size, 2 in 1 (2 A4 sheets merged into 1 A4 or A3 sheet), etc.) and various available digital image processing configurations. This standard includes test files used for digital copying productivity measurement, test setup steps, test procedures, and test report requirements. This standard does not apply to devices that cannot copy on A4 or 215.9 mm × 279.4 mm (8.5″ × 11″) media sizes, do not have automatic document feeders (ADF), or cannot perform single-sheet copying. This standard does not apply to surrogate manufacturers' rated speeds.
