Scope

This document describes the methods for determining the potassium content in compound fertilizers by heating and boiling or ultrasonic extraction, using the potassium tetraphenylborate gravimetric method, inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry, or flow analysis. The heating and boiling extraction method with the potassium tetraphenylborate gravimetric method is used as the arbitration method.
This document is applicable to the determination of potassium content in compound fertilizers. The determination of potassium content in other potassium-containing inorganic fertilizers should be carried out in accordance with the relevant standards.
