Scope

This standard specifies the safety technical requirements for the kiln safety structure, gas cylinders, storage tanks, cylinder groups, gasifiers, gasification rooms, gas pipelines, and their supporting auxiliary equipment in gas kiln furnace systems. It also covers testing methods, inspection rules, and safety management. This standard applies to the design, manufacture, installation, use, and inspection of various industrial gas kiln furnace systems, such as shuttle kilns, tunnel kilns, and roller kilns, in Guangdong Province that use combustible gases as fuel for firing ceramic products, firing enamel, calcining ceramic chemical raw materials, and firing silicate products. The combustible gases referred to in this standard mainly include liquefied petroleum gas and natural gas. In areas covered by pipeline gas supply, it is encouraged to use pipeline gas supply instead of cylinder groups and storage tanks for gas supply.
