Scope

This document specifies the quality assurance requirements for commercial off-the-shelf semiconductor devices (hereinafter referred to as COTS devices) used in aerospace applications, and establishes the specific requirements for demand analysis, evaluation tests, destructive physical analysis (DPA), screening tests, and qualification tests of COTS devices used in aerospace applications, as well as application control requirements.
This document applies to the quality assurance of COTS devices used in aerospace applications.
This document does not apply to the management and control of the production process and quality system of COTS device suppliers.
