Scope

This standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and storage of spindle belts for ring spinning machines.
This standard applies to spindle belts used in ring spinning machines driven by roller discs for cotton, wool, hemp, chemical fibers, and blended fabrics, and also applies to spindle belts used in the drive of other textile machinery.
This standard does not apply to pure fabric spindle belts.
