Scope

This standard specifies the general procedures for the preparation, measurement, marking, storage, and adjustment of rubber samples used in other standard physical tests, as well as the preferred conditions for the testing process. It does not include specific conditions for special tests or materials, or for simulating special climatic environments, nor does it include special requirements for product testing. This standard also stipulates the time interval required for rubber samples and products from their manufacture to testing. These requirements are necessary to improve the reproducibility of test results and reduce disputes between consumers and suppliers.
