Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements for ultrasonic (PE) and phased array ultrasonic (PA) testing methods, testing processes, and quality assessment of T-joints in steel fusion welding. This document is applicable to ultrasonic testing of T-joints in non-austenitic steel fusion welding with a flange thickness of not less than 6mm and a web thickness of not less than 8mm. The ultrasonic testing of tube plates, cross joints, and T-joints in pipes with a diameter of more than 500mm can be carried out with reference to this document.
