Scope
This part of GB/T 29613 specifies the method for identifying the single and combined polymers in raw rubber, vulcanized rubber, or unvulcanized rubber based on the pyrolysis gas chromatogram under the same test conditions. This part can be used for the qualitative analysis of single rubber or combined rubber, but some polymers cannot be distinguished, which will be discussed below. This part cannot be used for quantitative analysis.
This part is applicable to the identification of single polymers. When there is a characteristic hydrocarbon in the pyrolysis chromatogram of a polymer mixture, this method is also applicable to the identification of polymer mixtures. A detailed description can be found in Chapter 4. This method is also applicable to the identification of other types of polymers, but the analyst should verify it.
