Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for fully automatic magnetic flaw detection of seamless and welded (except submerged arc welding) ferromagnetic steel pipes. Unless otherwise specified in the purchase order, this standard is primarily used for the detection of longitudinal flaws. This standard is applicable to the detection of steel pipes with an outer diameter greater than or equal to 10 mm. This standard is also applicable to the detection of hollow profiles.
