Scope

This standard specifies the ordering content, classification, dimensions, shape, and allowable deviations of high-speed tool steel, as well as technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates, etc. This standard applies to hot-rolled, forged, and cold-drawn high-speed tool steel bars (including round steel, square steel, flat steel, hexagonal steel, etc., hereinafter referred to as steel bars) with a cross-sectional size (diameter, edge length, thickness, or distance between opposite edges) not exceeding 250 mm, as well as wire rods and bright-annealed steel bars. Its chemical composition also applies to ingots and billets.
