Scope

This standard specifies the methods of manual sampling and sample preparation for gold ores; the methods of evaluating the quality fluctuation of gold ores and checking the precision of sampling.
This standard is applicable to the sampling and sample preparation of chemical composition, moisture, and beneficiability test samples of rock gold ores mined in open pits and underground mines.
This standard is not applicable to the sampling and sample preparation of placer gold ores.
