Scope
This document describes the laser flash method for measuring the thermal diffusivity of fine ceramics. This document is suitable for measuring the thermal diffusivity of homogeneous bulk ceramics with a porosity of less than 10% in the temperature range from room temperature to 1,700 K. Under the condition that the density and other data of the measured materials are known, the thermal conductivity value can also be measured simultaneously.
