Scope

This document specifies the grading, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of quartz glass rods produced by plasma chemical vapor deposition. This document is applicable to quartz glass rods made from hydrogen-free silicon compounds such as silicon tetrachloride, which are deposited by gas-phase chemical reactions in a plasma high-temperature flame.
