Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, working principles, technical requirements, and inspection items for measuring the discharge flow and cumulative quantity using open-channel weir flowmeters as measuring instruments. This standard is applicable to the most commonly used open-channel weir flowmeters (rectangular thin-walled weirs and Bachlet weirs) in wastewater discharge measurement, as well as open-channel flowmeters equipped with water level sensors or water level flow display instruments in conjunction with weir flowmeters.
