Scope

This part of GB/T 32967 specifies the terms and definitions, symbols, test principles, test equipment, specimens, test procedures, test data processing, evaluation of the validity of test results, and test reports for high strain rate torsion tests on metal materials using a separate Hopkinson torsion bar. This part is applicable to the determination of mechanical properties such as shear stress-shear strain curves of metal materials at room temperature within a strain rate range of 102 s-1 to 103 s-1. Note: Other types of tests that can apply high strain rate shear loading should be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions.
