Scope
This standard specifies the interoperability requirements for the physical media (PMD) layer, the transport and aggregation (TC) layer, the operation, administration, and maintenance (OAM) functions, the optical network terminal management and control interface (OMCI) protocol, and the service-related functions of the 10Gbit/s passive optical network (XG-PON) system. This standard is applicable to XG-PON equipment in public telecommunications networks, and other dedicated telecommunications networks can also refer to and use it for reference.
