Scope

This standard specifies a general method for determining silicates using the silomolybdenum blue colorimetric method. This standard is applicable to the determination of trace silicates or fluorosilicates in chemical reagents. The detection range of spectrophotometry or visual colorimetry is 0.2 μg/mL to 3 μg/mL (calculated as SiO3).
