Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements for the classification, requirements, test methods, and test rules of marine low-voltage switchgear and control equipment.
This standard applies to marine low-voltage switchgear and control equipment with a rated voltage of not more than 1,000 V AC and a rated frequency of not more than 60 Hz, and a rated voltage of not more than 1,500 V DC.
This standard also applies to marine low-voltage switchgear and control equipment operating at higher frequencies (hereinafter referred to as marine switchgear).
