Scope

This standard specifies the method of drying starch at 130℃ in an oven under normal pressure to determine its moisture content. This standard is applicable to the moisture determination of dried natural starch and modified starch. This standard is not applicable to the moisture determination of certain special starch, such as starch containing substances that are unstable at 130℃.
