Scope

This standard applies to the new construction, renovation, and expansion of centralized hazardous waste disposal projects, as well as hazardous waste disposal projects built by enterprises themselves. It can provide a macroscopic guidance for feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, engineering design, construction, acceptance, and facility operation management of hazardous waste disposal projects. This standard is a general technical specification for hazardous waste disposal projects, applicable to all types of hazardous waste disposal projects. For hazardous waste disposal projects with existing special engineering technical specifications, the special technical specifications should also be implemented simultaneously; for hazardous waste disposal projects for which special engineering technical specifications have not yet been promulgated, the relevant provisions of this standard should be implemented. Medical waste, as a special category of hazardous waste, should follow the technical requirements for medical waste management as referenced in relevant standards.
