Scope

This standard specifies the methods for determining and calculating the proportion of natural gas in the total energy consumption of ships.
This standard is applicable to testing and calculating the proportion of natural gas used in the main engine, auxiliary engine, and boiler of natural gas/fuel oil hybrid-powered ships in the total energy consumption of the ship.
Note: The natural gas referred to in this standard is liquefied natural gas (LNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG).
