Scope

Isotope dilution mass spectrometry (IDMS) is in principle only suitable for determining the content of multi-nuclide elements or their compounds. For those elements that are single-nuclide elements but can find long-lived radioactive isotopes as diluents, they can also be measured by this method, such as iodine.
