Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for continuous monitoring equipment of gaseous discharge flow (radioactive) activity in nuclear power plants. This standard applies to gaseous discharge flow radioactive aerosol monitoring equipment, radioactive iodine monitoring equipment, and radioactive inert gas monitoring equipment in nuclear power plants during normal operation and anticipated operational events. It does not apply to radiation monitoring equipment in nuclear power plants during accidents and post-accident situations.
