GB/T 37306.1-2019 Metallic materials—Fatigue testing—Variable amplitude fatigue testing—Part 1:General principles,test method and reporting requirements
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 37306 specifies the general principles for fatigue testing of laboratory samples in a cyclic amplitude range.
This part sets out the regulations and general principles for cyclic amplitude fatigue testing, so as to generate consistent results for comparison when considering the typical dispersion of fatigue data.
This part is theoretically applicable to strain and force-controlled loading conditions or those used to control the rate of fatigue crack propagation. When using the loading mode described in this part rather than the force-controlled loading mode, appropriate protective measures should be taken.
This part is applicable to single-actuator loading modes with uniaxial loading.
The cyclic amplitude loading time history referred to in this part is fixed, which is why this part deals with cyclic amplitude loading rather than random loading.
The following are not within the scope of consideration of this part:
—— Constant amplitude fatigue tests with isolated overloads or underloads;
—— Tests on large components or structural parts;
—— Environmental effects, such as corrosion and creep related to temperature/time, which have an impact on frequency and waveform;
—— Multi-axial loading.
