Scope

This part of GB/T 37306 specifies the methods for cycle counting and data reduction applied to variable amplitude fatigue tests.
For each test or series of tests, cycle counting is mandatory, while various methods of data reduction are optional.
This part supports ISO 12110-1, which includes general principles for variable amplitude fatigue tests, test methods, and reporting requirements.
This part applies to all load types, where the term "load" refers to force, stress, or strain.
The following are not within the scope of this part:
—- Constant amplitude fatigue tests with isolated overloads or underloads;
—- Tests of components or structural parts;
—- Environmental effects, such as corrosion and the impact of creep related to temperature and time on frequency and waveform;
—- Multi-axial loading.
