Scope

Main technical content: 4. Fertilization management: Prioritize organic fertilizers and supplement with chemical fertilizers. Organic and chemical fertilizers should be used in combination, and fertilization should follow the provisions of NY/T 394. It is recommended to adopt nutrient diagnosis-based balanced fertilization, based on the soil fertility status and the growth and development needs of Changhua seedless lychees, and to apply fertilizer in a timely manner. In areas with a lack of trace elements in the soil, additional fertilizer types and quantities should be increased to address nutrient deficiencies. The fertilization site should be near the drip line of the tree crown. Organic fertilizer should be applied in the form of deep grooves, with a depth and width of 40–50 cm; chemical fertilizer should be applied in shallow grooves and covered with soil, with a depth of about 10 cm and a width of about 20 cm. 5. Fertilization for young trees 5.1 Base fertilization: Apply base fertilizer to each pit 1–2 months before planting. Before planting, place 30–40 kg of composted organic fertilizer and farmyard manure in each pit, along with 1 kg of calcium magnesium phosphate and 0.5–1 kg of lime. After mixing the base fertilizer with the topsoil, backfill the soil and compact it before planting. 5.2 Top-dressing: Start top-dressing when the first new shoots mature and the second new shoots emerge after planting. Generally, apply fertilizer twice per shoot: once when the shoot tip buds sprout and once when the shoot elongation stops and the leaf color turns from red to green. The nutrient ratio should be N:P2O5:K2O = 1:(0.3–0.5):(0.4–0.8). In the first year, the fertilizer application rate is 20–25 g of urea, 25–30 g of compound fertilizer, or 2–3 kg of diluted manure per plant. From the second year onwards, the application rate should be increased by about 50–100% compared to the previous year. 6. Fertilization for fruiting trees Generally, 50 kg of fresh
