Scope

This standard specifies the testing conditions and evaluation methods for the strength of the radiation electromagnetic field generated by arc welding and resistance welding equipment during normal operation. The electromagnetic radiation involved has a frequency of less than 1 MHz. Based on the current practical capabilities of electromagnetic radiation detection, the detection frequency ranges from 10 Hz (or lower) to 400 kHz (or higher).
This standard applies to arc welding and resistance welding equipment.
