This document establishes the procedures for beef traceability, specifies the determination of the objectives, accuracy, and scope of beef traceability, the coding and encoding rules for traceability codes, the collection and input of traceability information, the association of traceability codes with information, and the reading and decoding of traceability codes, and describes the corresponding verification methods.
This document is applicable to the relevant technical operations of traceability during the processes of beef breeding, trading, slaughtering, cutting and packaging, transportation, and product sales.
