Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of thermal coding ribbons. This standard applies to thermal coding ribbons (hereinafter referred to as ribbons) used for embossed hot stamping on composite soft packaging materials, which are made from plastic film as the substrate and coated with transferable inks.
