Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, storage, transportation, and quality certificates for needle coke produced after calcination, which is used in the production of graphite electrode joints. This document is applicable to needle coke produced after calcination, which is used as a raw material for graphite electrode joints, and is made from heavy oil containing aromatic hydrocarbons, through raw material pretreatment, delayed coking, and calcination.
