Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and quality certificates for aluminum alloy sheets and strips used in the production of easy-open can lids and pull rings.
This standard applies to aluminum alloy coated sheets (hereinafter referred to as coated sheets) and coated strips (hereinafter referred to as coated strips) produced by roll coating lines for food packaging, as well as aluminum alloy strips (hereinafter referred to as base strips) used to manufacture such coated sheets and strips.
