Scope
This standard specifies the identifiers marked on each floppy disk (FDC) and the minimum information to be marked on the packaging box (case) of unrecorded floppy disks.
Information compliant with this standard should be marked on the floppy disks available to end users and on the packaging boxes (cases) of unrecorded floppy disks. The FDC drive should be labeled with an explanation of the types of FDCs it can handle.
