Scope

This standard specifies the limits, calculation, measurement, and valuation methods for three-phase voltage imbalance. This standard applies to voltage imbalance at the common connection point caused by negative sequence fundamental components in AC power systems operating at a nominal frequency of 50 Hz, as well as voltage imbalance at the common connection point caused by zero sequence fundamental components in low-voltage systems. The allowable voltage imbalance and allowable values for negative sequence current in the rated operating conditions of electrical equipment are still specified by their respective standards, such as the requirements for rotating motors specified in GB 755. This standard does not apply to instantaneous and temporary imbalance issues.
