GB/T 24963-2019 Installation and equipment for liquefied natural gas—Ship to shore interface

Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for LNG transport ships, receiving stations, LNG transport ships, and port service providers during the safe navigation of LNG transport ships in port areas and the safe and efficient transfer of LNG at receiving stations. These requirements include:
a) Pilotage and Vessel Traffic Services (VTS);
b) Tugboats and mooring/unmooring operators;
c) Receiving stations;
d) LNG transport ships;
e) Suppliers of fuel, lubricating oil, and spare parts, as well as other service providers during the berthing of LNG transport ships.
This standard includes the following provisions:
—— Safe navigation, berthing, mooring, and departure from docks of ships;
—— Cargo transfer;
—— Ship-shore passageways;
—— Ship-shore communication;
—— All instrumentation, data, and electrical connections at the ship-shore interface;
—— Liquid nitrogen connections;
—— Ballast water.
This standard applies to the port operations of LNG transport ships and LNG receiving stations in international LNG trade and in China.
