Scope
This standard sets out unified provisions for color markings used to identify the constituent materials of ropes. This standard applies to jute and sisal ropes with a minimum diameter of 4 mm, as well as synthetic fiber ropes made from polyamide (nylon), polyester, polyethylene, and polypropylene.
