Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of denitrification biofilter systems, the composition and process flow of denitrification biofilter systems, requirements, testing, automatic control, and safety.
This standard is applicable to biofilter systems primarily designed for removing total nitrogen (hereinafter referred to as TN) from domestic wastewater, industrial wastewater, surface water, and groundwater.
