Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of electrical control equipment, the conditions of use, and the basic requirements for design, manufacture, and testing. This standard applies to electrical control equipment with a rated voltage of not more than 1,000 V AC, or a rated voltage of not more than 1,500 V DC (hereinafter referred to as electrical control equipment or equipment).
