Scope

This standard specifies the classification, codes, and schematic diagrams of lunar topographic map elements.
This standard applies to the surveying, compilation, updating, and production of digital lunar maps at scales of 1:2,500,000, 1:1,000,000, 1:500,000, 1:250,000, 1:100,000, 1:50,000, and 1:25,000, as well as the collection, storage, retrieval, analysis, output, and exchange of topographic map element information in various lunar basic geospatial information based on these maps. Other scale digital lunar maps can be implemented with reference to this standard.
