Scope

This document specifies the calibration method for standard hardness blocks (hereinafter referred to as "standard blocks") used in indirect and routine inspections of Rockwell hardness testers according to GB/T 230.2-2022. It is worth noting that tungsten carbide alloy ball indenter is regarded as a standard Rockwell hardness indenter. Steel ball indenter can only be used when it meets the requirements of Appendix A of GB/T 230.1-2018. This document is applicable to the calibration of standard hardness blocks for Rockwell hardness testing.
