Scope
This document specifies the method for calibrating standard Brinell hardness blocks used for indirect testing of Brinell hardness testers according to GB/T 231.2 and for regular inspections according to GB/T 231.1. This document also stipulates the procedures necessary to ensure the traceability of hardness measurements made by Brinell hardness standard machines (hereinafter referred to as "standard machines"). This document is applicable to the calibration of standard Brinell hardness blocks (hereinafter referred to as "standard blocks").
