This standard specifies the technical requirements for wet (non-metallic) friction materials (hereinafter referred to as wet friction materials). This standard applies to wet paper-based friction materials with resin as the binder, as well as other wet non-metallic-based friction materials. It does not apply to powder metallurgy friction materials.
