Scope

This standard specifies the classification and designations, order content, dimensions, shapes, weights, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates of hot-rolled steel plates and strips made of alloy structural steel.
This standard applies to hot-rolled steel plates and strips made of alloy structural steel with a thickness not exceeding 25.4 mm, including hot-rolled wide strips with a width of not less than 600 mm, sheared steel plates, longitudinally cut strips, and hot-rolled narrow strips with a width of less than 600 mm and sheared steel plates (hereinafter referred to as steel plates and strips).
