本标准规定了合金结构钢热连轧钢板和钢带的分类及代号、订货内容、尺寸、外形、重量、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、包装、标志及质量证明书。
本标准适用于厚度不大于25.4 mm的合金结构钢热连轧钢板及钢带，包括宽度不小于600 mm的热连轧宽钢带及剪切钢板、纵切钢带和宽度小于600 mm的热连轧窄钢带及剪切钢板（以下简称钢板及钢带）。
