Scope

This standard is applicable to determining the enthalpy change of a sample with a minimum amount of materials, estimating the temperature at which the enthalpy change occurs, and determining their enthalpy (heat) by differential scanning calorimetry or differential pressure scanning calorimetry methods. This test method can be used to measure solid, liquid, or slurry samples. This test method can be carried out in inert or active gases with an absolute pressure range of 100 Pa to 7 MPa and a temperature range of 300 K to 800 K (27 ℃ to 527 ℃). This standard uses the International System of Units.
