Scope

This standard specifies the methods for measuring the viscosity of liquids. The five methods listed in this standard are in principle applicable to Newtonian fluids, but only the rotational viscometer method can be used for non-Newtonian fluids. The specific characteristics of these methods are shown in Table 1.
