Scope

This standard specifies the common terms and characteristics used to describe the performance of analog counting rate meters, and establishes a set of test methods to verify their characteristics. This standard applies to linear analog counting rate meters and logarithmic analog counting rate meters within a typical measurement range (0.1 s -1 to 10 6 s -1). Analog counting rate meters (hereinafter referred to as "counting rate meters") can be standalone instruments or components of other instruments.
