Scope
This document specifies the measurement methods for optical parameters such as the field of view of the on-board head-up display, the size of the eye box, the accuracy of the symbol position, the display offset, the line width, the display jitter, the binocular parallax, and the brightness. This document is applicable to on-board head-up displays (HUDs) with cathode ray tube (CRT) image sources. Most of the measurement methods can also be used for HUDs with other image sources.
