Scope

This document specifies the requirements for the documentation of laser devices in terms of units of measurement, basic technical parameters, other information provided to users, and marking and labeling.
This document applies to laser systems integrated into laser products and laser devices integrated into laser systems or processing machines.
This document does not apply to complete (ready-to-use) laser products, embedded laser products with protective housings that do not emit lasers externally, or laser processing machines containing laser devices. This document also does not apply to non-coherent lamps and other similar light sources, such as LEDs.
Note: In this document, "laser products" refer to all laser products that meet the classification of IEC 60852-1 (including laser diodes and laser devices defined in GB/T 15313).
