Scope

This document specifies the grades, manufacturing, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and markings, certificates of conformity, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for wear-resistant steel castings (hereinafter referred to as "castings") other than austenitic manganese steel.
This document is applicable to the production, inspection, application, procurement, and delivery acceptance of wear-resistant steel castings subject to abrasive wear in industries such as mining, metallurgy, building materials, power generation, construction, railways, shipping, chemical engineering, and machinery. Wear-resistant steel castings for other working conditions shall be implemented in accordance with this document.
